Ekkoboks is the solo project of Tromsø based drummer Lars-Erik K. Mikkelsen. Exploring the relationship between rythm and atmosphere with a minimalist, meditative, and heavy take on electronic music.
Ekkoboks builds hypnotic soundscapes and bassheavy rythmstructures in an effort to balance the abstract and the concrete.

Ekkoboks is presented through the Cloud: Exit programme. Cloud: Exit is a part of Insomnia Festivals efforts to help develop and nurture new talents in the electronic music scene of northern Norway. The programme is made possible with support from SNN Samfunnsløftet and Talent Norway.
