grisha223 is a Tromsø-based artist, DJ, and performer working with sound, space, and (sub)cultural critique. With a background in classical music and a deep love for raw, forward-thinking electronics, her practice moves between ambient e-violin improvisations and beat-heavy club sets, exploring the edges of contemporary sound system culture. She approaches performance with a steady curiosity for how electronic music keeps shifting and changing, and a desire to break apart the structures it inherits.

Fascinated by the transformative potential of music in space, she builds her own tools, from digital controllers turned standalone instruments to a custom-built sound system, used to support a growing scene of experimental, small-scale electronic gatherings across Northern Norway. Her work builds on the queer and resistant roots of club culture, engagement with internet radio, and ongoing conversations around access, marginalization, and community.

Also a visual artist, grisha223 uses institutional critique and subcultural aesthetics to question the gatekeeping mechanisms of the art world, situating her practice in dialogue between sound, politics, and lived experience.
