The duo Hans, Jo! loves to play, and now they’re bringing more musicians and dancers into their new club concept. Hans Hulbækmo and Jo Einar Jansen are two experienced musicians, and their musical paths are often shaped during the journey. They have mostly composed the tunes themselves, but they also include traditional songs from Central and Northern Norway, as well as from the borders of Sweden and Finland.

The duo is both fresh and solid. The first time they played together was at Trondheim Torg in 2005. After that, their collaboration went dormant for 17 years until they reunited in the summer of 2022.

Hans, Jo – Klubb! is developed in collaboration with the Kalottspel festival and Folkemusikk Nord, and it is Scene Nord’s folk music department that is sending them on tour this fall. The premiere of Hans, Jo – Klubb! will take place at the electronic music festival INSOMNIA in Tromsø.
