SASUSU Radio reimagine the borderless frequencies and guerilla communication transmitted through Eelam-Tamil communities worldwide. The Norwegian-Tamil radio platform builds bridges through meeting spaces that relies on listening and cultural exchange, which coexist within a diasporic framework. Based in Tromsø, the radio engages with local places and their communities using live radio to harvest knowledge and new understandings. To make sure voices are heard as part of the society, the radio make use of the car audio system Tiger Milk as an integral part of echoing traces of migratory life, music and sonic interventions.

As part of Wednesday’s Insomnia Insights Seminar: Soft Power, Hard Impact, SASUSU Radio’s frontrunner Sanj will present sonic vibrations that can withstand and oppose genocidal structures. In sharing sounds of tomorrow with the folky ways of the past, SASUSU Radio takes a deep dive into the ritualistic nature that lies in the fight for existence.
