DUDA is the electronic playground of Tromsø-based singer Guro Utne Salvesen. Blending folksinging, classical vocal techniques, and freer forms of expression, DUDA builds music from old song fragments, traditional folk tunes and her own texts and melodies. With the voice at its centre, DUDA sits somewhere between song, sound art and whatever happens when a vocal nerd gets left alone with a loop station.
DUDA is presented through the Cloud: Exit programme. Cloud: Exit is a part of Insomnia Festivals efforts to help develop and nurture new talents in the electronic music scene of northern Norway. The programme is made possible with support from SNN Samfunnsløftet and Talent Norway.
